I found this video on youtube, and even though it isn't professionally done, I feel like it fits the message of this blog perfectly.

  1. I hate how photoshop and similar software distort the views of women today. It's sad to know that a lot of women believe that in order to be valued you have to look like the women in magazines. What people fail to realize is that the women in these magazines are all a certain body type that does not, in any way, represent the average woman. & just because you don't look like them doesn't mean you're not beautiful.

  2. I have seen many videos similar to this, it is a topic that comes up quite frequently nowadays, and one that is upsetting. It is hard to believe how women are targeted in this manner at such young ages, but more people should be held accountable. Even for the people being photoshopped, it is one thing to have your likeness used in an artistic way, but another to have it completely altered from what was reality. Enlarging lips and eyes, shrinking waists and thighs, augmenting the bosom, these things so far alter the original that it is not even the same person, so why are marketing specialists and photographers and companies allowed to do it? Why arent there laws prohibiting the misuse and misconstruing of images in advertising? There should be.
